Interesting facts about the match:
1/ Graham Vigrass, Canadian Middle-blocker of Guaguas Las Palmas played for Jastrzębski Węgiel in the 2019/2020 season. This season was not completed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
2/ Miguel Angel De Amo, the Spanish Setter of Guaguas Las Palmas, knows the Sports Hall in Jastrzębie-Zdrój well. In the 2014/2015 season he was a player of the Polish club AZS Częstochowa, and in the 2017-2018 season he came here with the French team Spacer’s de Toulouse.
3/ Argentine Nicolas Bruno, Outside spiker of Guaguas Las Palmas, played against Jastrzębski Węgiel in the last edition of the CEV Champions League, as a player of the Turkish Halkbank Ankara. Both teams faced each other in the semi-finals of this competition. Jastrzębski Węgiel promoted to the final in Turin, but lost against Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle.
4/ Jean Patry, the French Opposite of Jastrzębski Węgiel and Olympic champion from Tokyo, will have the opportunity to make his debut in the CEV Champions League.
5/ Marcelo Mendez, current Head coach of Jastrzębski Węgiel, worked as a coach of the Spanish club in the past. It was Drac Palma’s team. The Argentine coach and the Mallorca club reached the final of the CEV Cup and the final of the Top Teams Cup.
6/ Jean Pascal Diedhiou, Middle blocker of Guaguas Las Palmas, has already been in Jastrzębski Węgiel’s hall. This took place in the 2014/2015 season, when he was a player of another Spanish team CAI Teruel and it was the group stage clash of the CEV Champions League.
